Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Welcome to the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District Fall Brochure. I hope that all of you had a great summer and got to spend a lot of time with your family and friends. The City’s Fourth of July Celebration was one of our best yet. The parade began on Ramona Boulevard and ended at the historic Francisco Estudillo Heritage Park. With the day’s festivities nearing an end at the Francisco Estudillo Heritage Park, those on hand got to watch another great firework’s display put on by Valley-Wide.
For those that didn’t make it to the Francisco Estudillo Heritage Park on the Fourth, I’d like to point out that the bulk of the improvements at the Francisco Estudillo Heritage Park are basically complete. The interior of the mansion has been completed and furnished; the grounds include a new parking lot with drought tolerant landscaping, a native-vegetation demonstration garden and the San Jacinto Museum. The Park and the Museum are open on weekends. I encourage you to visit the Park and the Museum if you haven’t already.
Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District and the City of San Jacinto continue their partnership on recreation activities in San Jacinto. The collaboration includes the operation of the San Jacinto PAL program, staffing for the City’s Community Center and also operating the pool at Sallee Park. In addition, as the City solicits proposals for the design of a new skate park, expect Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District to play an integral role in that endeavor as well.
As a resident within the District, please take advantage of the one of the many programs available to you.The Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District Fall Brochure is so full of classes, programs and excursionsthat everyone should find something of interest.I look forward to a great fall and hope the same foryou.
Yours truly,
Dale Stubblefield
Mayor
