Line Dancing
This popular style of dance is great exercise, and lots of fun! Line dancing is good for everybody ages 8 to 88.
If you can walk, you can line dance! There are slow and fast dances, polkas, and cha-chas, even a Charleston!
No partner is necessary so don’t be left out when you hear the beat. These are ongoing classes; you can join at
any time. Register and pay at class.

Belly Dance Kids Classes
Kids class is designed for fun and exploration of movement. Free dancing, group dancing, veils, zills 
(finger symbols), tambourines, and so much more. Through play your child will learn Belly Dance basics,
freestyle, props and Choreography. We will be doing more than one form of Belly Dance. This class
is designed for long term and drop in students. Sessions are ongoing except for Major school holidays.
Students will pick up where we are in class. Equipment can be bought or made inexpensively but will be

Clogging with Lynnda Shields
Plan now to catch the clogging bug when classes resume in mid-September. This truly American folk dance
has an infectious toe-taping beat, and is appealing to all ages. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings.
The Southern California Annual Clogging Convention will be held at the Ontario Convention Center on August 24,

Haystack Kickers Clogging Club
The Haystack Kickers Clogging Club will hold club dances at Valley Wide Regional Park in San Jacinto, on

DOG OBEDIENCE
Instructor Wendy Jeffries uses a gentle non-force method of training your dog in these great 6-week classes.
Basic
obedience including sit, down, stay, come and walk on a loose leash, taught with no-force methods.
Wendy will use
behavior modification to solve problems like jumping, aggression and running away when called.
These are beginning
classes, which will help you to teach your dog to become a better companion to you and
your family. The first class is

Physique’s Training Camp for Women
Are you tired of the same routines at the gym? Are you not getting results? Or is it that you
don’t feel comfortable there? Is your body at a steady state and not changing? If you are 
serious about improving your physique and achieving maximum results, you don’t want to
miss out on this six-week training camp for women only. The camp is taught on all fitness
levels. In order to provide the safest and most effective program students will be placed in classes
according to their fitness abilities and goals. Training camps include body composition, weigh-ins,
measurements, nutritional support and three 1-hour group-training sessions per week. Want to

PILATES
Come and try a new class starting at two Valley Wide Recreation facilities called Pilates. The
Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates to help people who suffered from injury or any
pain, to reduce the risk of injury through a highly developed and organized body, and to add zest
to your leisure time through a well maintained physical, mental, and spiritual body as a whole.

Kids Porcelain Painting
Kids will learn the basics in the art of china painting. Beginners to intermediate students are welcomed. Students will complete a tile project at the end of the three days class. Bring a friend and join in this wonderful class. The China will be fired each night by the teacher and returned the next day for the child to work again. Arts of Self Defense
Valley-Wide offers these popular self-defense classes for all ages from 5 up in the American-Polynesian martial art Limalama. Great for men, women, boys and girls. Beautiful to watch with Polynesian hand and foot movements that are powerful, flowing, and fast. Learn technique, speed, flexibility, balance, power, timing, coordination, courage and self-discipline. This art will change the way you see yourself and others and help you in everyday life. Gregg Hepner, a United States Professional Tennis Registry Certified
instructor, and his assistants have been offering lessons through
Valley-Wide for eight years. Lessons are ongoing and students may
attend weekly or as their schedule permits. Please have a tennis
racket and white-soled shoes. Students who do not own a racket may
use a demo-racket. Gregg and his staff will assist in the selection
of a racket to be purchased. Pre-registration is recommended, however

Tiny Tots Vaulting Lessons
Is your 2 or 3 year old horse crazy? This class is the perfect way to get their horsy fix. We start every class by warming up and stretching. Then, the Tots learn a few moves, on our Barrels (fake horses). Next, is the horse time. Last, we give to our specially trained horse a treat and do a little brushing. This class is 30 minutes long and is customized for two and three year olds. Tots will gain balance, body awareness, coordination, and self-confidence. Parent involvement is required. Cost: $10 a class.
Riding Lessons
Riding Lessons for ages: 9 - adult Horses and helmet are provided. Students will be going over safety, haltering, grooming, saddling, mounting, and proper beginning-advanced riding under the supervision of a certified instructor. Students can also participate in our other activities such as shows, clinics, trail riding, stall cleaning, worming, clipping and more. As low as $19.80 a lesson.
Parent & Me Riding Lessons
Riding Lessons for Ages 5– 8 years old Cost: $150.00 per six-week session. Kids and parents will be going over safety, haltering, grooming, saddling, mounting, and proper riding under the supervision of a certified instructor. The last class the kids will have a show and family will be welcome to come watch and take pictures. Parents will not be riding. Their job will be helping their children. Parent or Adult involvement is required.
Vaulting Lessons
FREE 1st Lesson The TRA Vaulting Club is looking for 4 to 22 year olds that would like to compete all the way to National level. Come check us out, learn what vaulting is all about and why it is so much fun. Horse and gymnastics experience helps but is not necessary. As low as $8.00 a class.

The 24th annual OLDlympics is sponsored by the Hemet Community Medical Group, The Bank of Hemet, Friends of Valley-Wide Foundation, Miller-Jones Mortuary, Arrow Printing, Optimum Health Care, Inter Valley Health Plan, SJ Medical Clinic & Urgent Care and Valley-Wide Recreation. This popular senior competition takes place in just 2 weeks, so get yourself ready! Here is the list of the events offered – Shuffleboard, Lawn Bowling, Cribbage, Pinochle, Bridge, Swimming, Track and Field, Tennis, Golf, Billiards, Horseshoes, Bowling, Limit Texas Holdem, Softball, Bench Press, Scrabble, Pickle Ball and the “Fun”-Tathlon. We will close the competition with an awards banquet. OLDlympics was created for this community’s men and women, ages 50 years and older; to provide an opportunity to compete against their peers in regulated events that are traditional, relaxed and informal.

WOMEN’S A.M. VOLLEYBALL
Ladies 18 and over, Valley-Wide Sports Center opens up their volleyball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays morning from 9:00 - 11:00 am with childcare (all children attending must be in childcare). Come and enjoy great games, friends and fun on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Thursdays, courts splits by play level after 10:30.
Days: Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 – 11:00 am
Dates: Ongoing, join anytime, pay & register each day
Fee: $2.00 per player per day
MEN’S ADULT FALL LEAGUE BASKETBALL
With the success of the Spring League, sign-up your team now for the upcoming Fall basketball leagues. Games will be played at the Sports Center in San Jacinto. Season is scheduled to begin late September.

Fees: $525.00 per team
*Mandatory league meeting to be held on September 10, 2008 at 8:00 pm.
**Any player living out of Valley-Wide’s District boundaries will pay an additional $5.00 per person.
CO-ED ADULT VOLLEYBALL
Registration is underway for the upcoming adult volleyball league. Games will be played at the Valley-Wide Sports Center. Season is scheduled to begin late September.

ADULT SPRING SLO-PITCH LEAGUE
The 2009 Spring Season is set to begin at the end of January, rosters and fees will be taken January 7th thru 9th for the 2008 Fall returning teams, OPEN registration will be January 12th and 14th by 5:00 pm for the upcoming Spring Slo-Pitch leagues. Space is limited to only 56 men’s teams, 18 co-ed teams and 6 women’s teams.
*Incomplete rosters will not be accepted.
*Teams will be placed in divisions on a first come first served basis.
(Any person living out of the district boundaries, there is an additional $5.00 per player.)
Fee: Men’s $475.00
Co-Ed $425.00 Women’s $400.00
Mandatory placement meeting: Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Valley-Wide Sport Center.
