Recreation Swim Fees:

Valley-Wide Recreation’s Aquatic Center is a heated 25 yard out door pool with a water slide, zero depth entry with water fountain sprayers and activity for small children.  Come out and enjoy the fun.  The Aquatic Center will be open for the FALL beginning, Wednesday, August 27th for open swim.

WATER SLIDE RULES/POOL RULES

 

All riders MUST be at least 48 inches tall to ride the water slide

Only ONE person on the slide is permitted at a time

Swimsuits with plastic or metal rivets are not permitted on the water slide.

NO SMOKING

NO Floatation Devices

No outside food or drinks

SWIM Suits only!  No Exceptions!

     

Come Swim w/Me - Kids 8 and under

This is Valley-Wide's version of a summer Mom & Me program.  Parents, grandparents and caregivers can bring their tots and swim

at the Aquatic Center.  What a great way to spend time with your little ones.  For more information call Missy @ (951) 929-0047

*for kids 8 and under, the BIG blue slide will NOT be on.

 

Little Swimmers - Kids 8 and under

Can't swim in the activity pool because of all the big kids?  Well, it's time to take it back!  Parents with children 8 years and younger,

come to the Aquatic Center before it opens for swimming.  NO big kids Allowed!   The big blue slide will not be turned on at this class.

 

Ages:    8 & under

Days:    Saturday

Dates:   September 6th

Time:    9:45 - 11:45

OLDlympics - Swimming

You are never too old to compete and have fun.  If you are 50 or older, then participate in this 18 day fun OLDlympics.

 

Date:     Tuesday, September 23

Time:     9:00am

Location: Valley-Wide Recreation Aquatic Center off of Domenigoni park way

Events:    25 & 50 yard Free-style; 25 & 50 yard backstroke;

               25 & 50 yard breaststroke; 75 yard Medley.

Awards:    First, second and third for all races - (men & women)

The Great Pumpkin Plunge

Come out to the 2nd annual Pumpkin Plunge.  This will be the last day the pool will be open for the 2008 season.  This event includes games in and around the pool, kids learning about water safety, dive for treasure and water races.

 

 

Date:        Saturday, October 11th

Time:        10:00 - 4:00pm

Prices:       $7.00 ages 18 & older

                     $6.00 ages 5 - 17

                     $4.00 ages 4 & under

AMERICAN Red Cross - Lifeguard Training

If you want a fantastic summer job that is physically challenging and requires concentration and an ability to respond to emergency

situations, become a Lifeguard!

 

Course Description

Course is designed to prepare lifeguards candidates to recognize emergencies and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drowning.

Course includes First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional Rescuer.  Students will learn to use a pocket mask, bag-valve resuscitator and oxygen.

 

Pre-Requisites

Participant must be at least 15 years old.

*    Swim 300 yards continuously

*    100 yards front crawl

*    100 yards breast stroke

*    100 yards may be a mixture of front crawl & breaststroke

*    Swim 20 yards front or breaststroke, dive to a depth of 7 feet, retrieve a 10-pound

        brick and return it to the surface and swim 20 yards back with legs only to the starting point.

 

Participant must participate and attend all classroom sessions, demonstrate proficient and water skills, and pass a written exam with a score of at least 80 percent.

To become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard, enroll in Lifeguard Training.
